Adhesives, Glues

Only alkali resistant adhesives should be used, suitable for AMROC-PANELS pH value of 11-13.

For high-quality adhesive fixings, AMROC-PANELS with calibrated surfaces are most suitable. When dealing with a one-sided surface covering by means of adhesive bonding to freely movable boards, an equal counterforce should be present on the back of the boards, to pre-vent distortion. For large-area adhesive bonding, some pre-testing should always be carried out in cooperation with the manufacturer. The adhesive / glue in its final state should always be more elastic than the materials which are to be connected.

Applications and types of adhesives

Full-surface adhesive bonding with ceramic materials Reaction-resin adhesives with a polyurethane or epoxy resin base In dry rooms and smaller to be coated sizes dispersion adhesives can be used

When (especially when used on exterior walls) the interior walls of a room are completely covered with ceramic tiles (e.g. laboratories and sanitary facilities), so that a vapor diffusion barrier is created in the inner room, the back of the AMROC-PANELS must be sealed. Without such a sealing of the back of the boards, condensation can penetrate the board, which can result in distortion. Distortion can also take place when the back of the board dries out on one side only.

In this case sealing of the reverse side is required. For adhesive bonding to free floating floors, AMROC Floor Panels primed on both sides should be used, to avoid one-sided penetration of moisture which could lead to distortion. Boards with a calibrated surface easily absorb moisture!

For use of wall coverings always use primed AMROC-PANELS with tongue-and-groove and glue them together at the profiled edges.
