Edges and Joints

Several possible edge designs are available, which allow for the application of different joints. Some common solutions are illustrated below.

Profiled edges are not only used for façades, but are also applied in interior design, like flooring (tongue and groove) and wall cladding in moist rooms (tongue and groove or groove with separate tongue) for coverings with ceramic materials.

The outside or inside climate, especially the influence of moisture, is of decisive importance for the choice of edge or joint design.
